This weekend was the War Practice event, held at the same site where the Pennsic War will be held in August. War Practice is a weekend event, but Dani and I day-trip because it's not that far and we really hate camping. Saturday at an SCA event there's going to be an award scroll in Hebrew, and the heralds asked me if I would read it in court. I just got the text via email. They're donig something new at Friday-night services: all the board members have name tags now, to make it easier to give new folks (or anyone else) people to go talk to. Friday night I went to Susan's conversion ceremony. It was very nicely done. We all then went to Rodef's Shabbat service and then across the street for a party at her in-laws' house.
